‘We are going to take you on a musical journey to the fascinating world of Animals, including Mammals, Insects and Birds that inhabit our beautiful planet. The twelve creatures in our Menagerie are some of the most incredible and wonderful of all and we will try to describe these with music as they live in their natural environment. There are many different species of each animal selected but they tend to have similar characteristics.

The creatures in our Menagerie are described in three musical movements.’

Movement one

Describes four Mammals and those chosen are The Cheetah, The Monkey, The Fox and The Elephant.

Movement two

Describes four insects which are The Dragonfly, The Grasshopper, The Mosquito and The Caterpillar & Butterfly

Movement three

Describes four Birds which are The Robin, The Kingfisher, The Woodpecker and The Eagle.
