Theme from Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto – Solo for Clarinet

Description: Published after the death of the composer the Clarinet Concerto was written for Basset Horn. However today it is also published for A Clarinet which is considered to produce the best sound. A small phrase goes too low for the clarinet but a very small 8ve modification to the melody solves the problem. This Student edition has been transposed to Concert pitch B-Flat (which is C for Clarinet) for obvious reasons. Much shortened and edited it is intended to introduce young players to some of the beautiful melodies in this adagio movement.
