Nimrod

Description: Nimrod is a movement from the suite ‘Enigma Variations’ by Edward Elgar and was written in 1898. Each movement is intended to be a musical sketch of each of his close friends. Nimrod is probably best known today for being played on Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph in London by the massed bands of the Guards Division.
